Barca Cup 2nd place-10U Red

10U Red anticipated a very competitive final in the 2024 Barca Academy Chicago Cup with Olimpia USA, a team from Ohio who was also very dominant in group play. They battled and missed some opportunities. However, they did end up losing 0-5 in the Championship game.

Coach Carlos was very proud of the way his players fought through the game and said, “Tough loss for us today in the final to a great team from Ohio. No excuses, they wanted it more. But these kids GREW this tournament. I will be taking the positives from here, we came together as a team, learned to support each other, and they got a taste of what it takes to be in a final. Second place isn’t bad in a very competitive tournament, especially against the strong team that they faced in the final. Now we regroup, we practice hard, and we get ready to win the next one!”
